Norwegian Fjord
Although it is unclear when the first Norwegian Fjord arrived in the United States, a horse described in 1888 could have been the one. A six month old gelding named Dandy was purchased by J. Bertram Lippincott of Philadelphia from drover Henry Harvinger in Lancaster, PA may have been the one!
A discovery of a booklet in the Tunbridge Public Library in Vermont was the first documentation about the importation of Fjord horses from Norway.
